M5 CPI-Related Heavy Vehicle Toll Increase

A toll increase for heavy vehicles will take effect from 12.01am on Saturday 29 May 2010.

The CPI-linked adjustment is the first increase in the heavy vehicle toll since February 2008 and accords with the provisions of the Project Deed signed between Interlink Roads and the Roads and Traffic Authority in February 1991. The Project Deed covers the construction and operation of the M5 Motorway.

From 12.01am on Saturday 29 May, 2010 the toll for heavy vehicles will increase from $8.20 to $8.80 (including GST).

The adjustment will apply to those vehicles with 4 or more axles, vehicles with 3 axles that are over 2 metres high and vehicles with 2 axles that are over 2.8 metres high.

The toll for cars and motorcycles is not affected and will remain at $3.80.
