Convenience and Efficiency |
In 1999 state governments across Australia agreed to the introduction
of a common set of protocols for future toll road technology. Based
on the CENN European Standard for electronic tolling, the protocols
allowed a number of toll road operators to provide electronic tolling
systems that are fully interoperable with each other meaning that
one tag can be used on many toll roads.
Following the agreement, Interlink Roads developed a state of the art
electronic tolling system known as E-way®. As the owner and
operator of E-way, Interlink is continually engineering ways
to deliver a smoother, more convenient journey for its E-way
customers.
