Although the motorway toll remains the same whether you use an E-way®
card or not, having an account means you don't need to carry coins
in the car and can determine your own payments based on usage.
With Direct Debit you can either opt for a standard payment plan
($50 weekly, $100 fortnightly or $200 monthly), or create a structure
that
suits.
It's simple to calculate:
| Motorway toll |

In this example usage equals $150.00 (rounded to next $5).
To allow for unexpected trips we recommend $170.00 as a debit amount.
Minimum Account Levels:
Weekly = $20.00
Fortnightly = $40.00
Monthly = $80.00.
Always make your account level greater than you think you
will use, to allow for extra trips.

A
change to the procedure for E-way® account top-ups will apply from 15
May 2004. Under the new system E-way® accounts with a usage in the
previous three months of $70.00 or more, will have their threshold (the
amount which triggers a top-up request) increased from the existing
$20.00 to 30% of the highest months usage.
Example:
Customer has usage of last three months of $100, $110 & $120. As
one of these months exceeded $70, the new rule applies. Highest month
is $120 so 30% is $36, rounded up to $40. So for the next month a
top-up would be triggered once balance fell to $40.
NB: Although a new threshold will be calculated at the
beginning of every month based on the previous three months, you can
still decide to set your own top-up level.
Please contact us for details.
This change will benefit medium to heavy users who may run out of balance under the existing threshold of $20.
The change is a variation to the E-way® Tag Terms and Conditions
of Agreement and should therefore be retained for later reference.
Remember if your E-way® tags are invalidated due to insufficient
balance you will need to pay cash for your tolls until the account is
rectified. Note that cash tolls cannot be claimed under the Cashback
scheme. |
