WHICH WINDSCREEN?

Before you begin fitting your tag, you need to ensure you have everything you need and the right mounting bracket for your vehicle. The tag may not function correctly in the wrong bracket or if held in the hand. Check the diagram below to determine if you have a vertical or sloping windscreen.

Vertical windscreen (trucks, busses etc)
E-way® packs contain the tag, a cleaning swab and a single, fixed bracket.

One tag One mounting bracket One cleaning swab

Sloping windscreen (most cars)
E-way® packs contain the tag, a cleaning swab and an interchangeable bracket assembly.

One tag Two mounting brackets: A + B One cleaning swab

NB: If you have a sloped screen vehicle you can remove your tag (with bracket B still attached) and transfer it to another vehicle fitted with an A bracket. Vertical windscreen mounting brackets are not interchangeable.

Bracket Removal Tip: Use a hair dryer to heat the area of the windscreen to melt the glue on the bracket for easier removal.
warningMelbourne toll road CityLink is working to resolve an issue that has resulted in incorrect toll charges being billed against some New South Wales number plates.

The incorrect charges relate to licence plate numbers that exist in both New South Wales and Victoria.

CityLink has found some instances where the automated tolling system has charged the New South Wales vehicle instead of the Victorian one.

CityLink has implemented a manual review process to reverse all incorrect charges, so any E-way customer who may have been affected will have those incorrect charges reversed.

Please call on 1300 555 833 OR e-mail us should you have any questions regarding this issue.
warningCashback Information update: Remember claims for Cashback for eligible trips on Sydney's M5 Motorway must be completed and returned to the RTA within 12 months.
warningNew tag product improves safety for motorcyclists

The all new E-way® Toll Rider is the first product that allows your E-way tag to be mounted directly onto your motorcycle. This allows motorcycle riders to use E-lanes with:
  • Confidence
  • Reliability
  • Improved safety
The E-way Toll Rider motorcycle tag pouches are available from 4 August 2008.

E-way Toll Rider allows motorcyclists to safely access the cashless lanes on the M5 South West Motorway, and all other toll roads Australia-wide.

E-way has also produced a pouch that can be worn as an armband.

This is a new and safe way of installing an E-way tag onto a motorbike and will replace the current motorcycle card which is being phased out and will no longer be in use as of 31 December, 2008.

Mark Cooper from John Sample Automotive, designers of the E-way Toll Rider said today, "This Australian designed product provides a multitude of safety benefits delivered through eliminating the need to stop at toll booths or trying to hand hold electronic toll tags while riding through cashless lanes. Having an E-way Toll Rider tag installed on the bike will mean that riders can simply concentrate on riding safely. "
